LIVE POLL: The Worst M. Night Shyamalan Movie

Which of the following films that M. Night Shyamalan directed and/or wrote is the worst in his filmography?

LIST:  https://www.imdb.com/list/ls563634114/

POLL:  https://www.imdb.com/poll/_6T2HHxW7cg/

Since, I'm a devout fanatic of the Betty White option, I'm going to add an earnest/unironic one here: M. Night Shyamalan has never made a bad movie. Should I use (ironically) She's All That (1999) for that option? Or something else (a title not associated with the director)?

Should I add the following two movies and wait until they come out?

Knock at the Cabin and Caddo? Knock has a release in February. And Caddo is in postproduction since the end of 2021.

Very clear: 'After Earth'. It will be #1. I know I completely hated it. And many other also did. A rate of 4.8 by ~200.000 people shows a straight decision. Especially when the star is popular.

There's also He's All That.

Or you could use The Sixth Sense for that option.

Caddo seems to be only produced by him. I guess the poll could wait for Knock at the Cabin to come out, if you wish.

@Peter_pbn Waiting until we see if the next one is a train wreck.

Asking for a choice of the WORST movie by this director implies that there was, at some point, a BEST.  Sorry, but I don't believe there was a best.  I'd have to go "All of the above."

While he has never reached the quality of The Sixth Sense, I have actually liked most of Shyamalan movies I have seen.

After Earth was probably the weakest, but the twist in The Village was also not of my liking.

I haven't seen anything since Split, but I'll watch Glass for sure one day.

@Pencho15 I'm willing to add a Betty White option indicating liking all and/or hating none of his films. Can you proffer a relevant or even irrelevant (humorous) image for placement at the bottom of the list? What would be the best/most concise way of writing that sentiment?

For me? Split is the best of the trilogy. James McAvoy being royally snubbed of a deserved Oscar nomination. And Glass, though flawed and quite controversial, was ten stories above the lowest of the lows of Shyamalan's worst films. Hardly terrible. Just meh.

@Tsarstepan I read he was at some time considered a new Hitchcock https://www.worldofreel.com/blog/2022/9/ef38v0nfzgkwjmkw6rqitlq1olx56a

Maybe something like: "Are you kidding, He is the master of suspense"

I'm not really creative in term of phrasing so I'm sure you'll get something better

@Tsarstepan Look for a picture of Siskel and Ebert doing the Thumbs up/thumbs down.  Use the thumbs down for "no good movies" and the thumbs up for "all good movies."

There are still no good movies from this overrated director and I am glad that his fifteen minutes are over.

I think The Happening is hands down the worst films he's made.

i think you meant "less good movies" because Shyamalan doesn't make bad movies. I'll say his least good ones are the ones I haven't seen. or the one with the fairy in the pool whichever comes first.
