Dance is a powerful thing. It's an art that can make you express your feelings in body movements. It can be coordinated or uncoordinated, but the essence is to enjoy it.

Sometimes in the movies, there are certain moments that express in an unusual way the art of dancing that get to be a bit disturbing but somehow funny or captivating to watch.

Note:

This idea came to my mind when I watched "Blue Velvet"  an week ago. The scene where the woman goes to the car's roof while Frank antagonize Jeffrey was so wtf and disturbing that it's very good. It's was so unexpected, only Lynch can create something like that. As Sandy says
"It's a strange world"
Then i remember that i watched other movies with similar moments and i did the research to complement.

If you guys have a suggestion, please understand the concept of this poll, i'm looking for unexpected creepy dance moments.

SeventhAr7, thank you very much for this poll. It invites in deep redolenting: many dance moments watched, but not so easy to separate the creepy in a moment... Indeed, this poll is the most complicated for me among the desired ones, and it's great. The only thing afraid of is the possible lack of IMDb backdrops for linking the moments, if would be necessary.

Not creepy: From Dusk Till Dawn, Van Helsing.

Then, dancing is one of the main lines in Suspiria and Climax, both 2018. They need to be rewatched to recognize if the creepies constitute any dance-moments or the action in general ))

Thanks ;) This idea come to my mind after watching the woman dance scene in Blue Velvet and i thought that was so "out of control" so creepy and awkward... but very rewatchable at same time.

Of your options, the one that I especially liked and included was the scene Calvaire, I found that very on point, it's a great scene to be part of this poll.

BTW, if you accept tribal or ritual dances:
King Kong (video)
the dance moments are short and not so many there but are creepier than King Kong himself )) Moreover, someone fails to find similar in the Cannibal Holocaust trilogy, if you know what I mean.

This is a creepy scene, it's a fact, but I think mainly because they seem possessed. I think they are more to shake than to dance.
However thanks for the suggestion.

...and no, i didn't saw the Cannibal Holocaust trilogy... so, i don't know

Viy (1967) (video, although scene works MUCH better in context: just after moment on which video abruptly ends Khoma takes off his hat to reveal that his hair turned gray).

What a good idea for a poll. I'd probably say either 'Clockwork Orange' or 'Blue Velvet' but they're all creepy. I really like the list.
