Live Poll: The Best '80s Animated Movie

Some amazing films here that advanced the animated industry and provided wonderful stories and characters to boot; and THE decade for a certain Studio Ghibli.

Which of these 1980s Animated movies will you most likely remember?

You are missing “The Brave Little Toaster”. There is a whole story about the production of that only on how John Lassiter had started the project to be the first film to be CGI film before “Toy Story”. But Disney fires him and took over the project and made it cell animation. However, the final project still used some CGI images and CGI with cell drawn over it.
Some may argue that it should be considered as a movie because it was released as direct to video, but I would argue that it should be considered as a movie because, after viewing it, you can see it has cinema level production values. It was literally meant to be a theatrical movie. It and “The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride” stands out from all of Disney’s direct to video in terms of quality.

Grave of the Fireflies (1988)
80's were over about 9 years before I was born, so I will likely remember all of these for another few years . :P

Hi Kyle. 'My Neighbor Totoro' will get my vote. Not surprisingly, I love the intro, by the way: concise but you still managed to get a little verve in there with the word "certain."  :)

Tough choice here. "The Fox and the Hound" (1981), "An American Tail" (1986), "The Great Mouse Detective" (1986), and "The Transformers: the Movie" (1986) are among my personal favourites, which I have rewatched several times. I also like several of the others, though I am not particularly enthusiastic about them.

I would have to choose "The Great Mouse Detective". Few films involving criminal conspiracies, and coup d'état attempts are that entertaining. And I really love the setting in Victorian London.
