Is that the picture of 2001 they picked as best movie poster? Lol, seriously, I don't care if it represents life, but that staring foetus face scares the hell out of me.

He's coming for YOU, ElMo!

Yes, these are the specific posters they chose.

PS - Foetus Face sounds like a Dick Tracy villain. :D

Hey, I was serious, your warning is almost as scary as the picture, I didn't need a nightmare fuel before going to sleep...

... I like the Straw Dogs one, as a bespectacled person (half the time), I relate to this image as  glasses have always been associated to some social handicap, the ones that make you look like a nerd anyway, and their broken represents a pivotal moment in a bad-ass way.

I don't see what's so great about the King Kong one, it's a movie about a scary giant ape and the poster features a scary giant ape, are Premiere staff members that impressed that they had good drawers in the '30s?

Well, here's what they said about it. I assume it's partially a historical thing.

Designed by S. Barret McCormick and Bob Sisk - Star power being what it is, 1933's King Kong merely needed a big ape to sell itself. Yet S. Barret McCormick and Bob Sisk did the artwork for the iconic ape, based on the production sketches of Mario Larrinaga and Byron Crabbe. The image of the creature terrorizing humans against the backdrop of the New York skyline represented nature versus the machine age at its most extreme.
