Live Poll: Peaks in Music Movies

Intro:

Some movies really rock the audience. It might be classical music,
musicals, rock, rap, pop, jazz or any other kind of music movie that does a good job. Mostly all of them have a special sequence which gives the movie a highlight. So which of these music movie sequences is your favorite? Discuss here. Special thank you to blackbolt-3 for giving ideas.

Rules:

I better want sequence suggestions from movies 7+/10, but you may convince me. I need a fitting image from the sequence. I need a line for putting it to the image. Pattern like the examples in the list. It should be a music centered movie and the scene should be outstanding within the movie. Any direction of music. Animes or animated only if outstanding and music centered. No documentaries.

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls091450060/

I wish I had a better image for 'Les Miserables'.
I have a problem with writing music titles. Is it like the writing of movie titles? I wrote the titles like I know it from downloads, so I don't know if the titles are written right. And is there a " or a ' at the beginning of the music titles? Thank you for helping. :D

When we're not talking about movie or series titles in poll titles we don't have a strict rule about these things.

AP and other style guides may prefer to only capitalize some words in titles ("We Are the Champions"), but I agree that downloads and album covers in English tend to capitalize all words ("We Are The Champions"), so copying that style seems fine.

But try to be consistent: Capital S in "Singin' In The Rain"

And double check your text: I believe "Sing, Sing, Sing" is by Louis Prima.

Thank you for the explanation. Louis Bega? Which devil might have touched me for that? I got Louis Prima in my 4 wheeled disco. ;D I checked the list and did some corrections. And now I check it again. Maybe you have a suggestion, too? :D

No, sure not. No comparison to Louis Prima. Lou Bega is ok for music at McDonalds or at party events, but the old jazz artists have special qualities still many people get. The old garde is another teritory than Lou Bega, you know? My best Musicians are Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Louis Armstrong, Queen, The Sweet, Run D.M.C, Squackett, Brand X, Sigi Schwab & Percussion Academia, Santana, ...
There are so many high quality musicians in each music genre to like - and I like them all! Try the albums "Rondo A Tre", "Live Within A Day", or "A History Of Brand X" - music that elevates you to inner regions you don't know. Except you know the albums. ;D

I guess with that song, many women had a lot of fun at work. I think it was big fun for the singers. They look like they had.

When I was young, the same song was done by Pink Floyd. It sounds a little different, but the content is pretty much similar:

Thank you. :D
It was a very pleasent idea to put it to the list. I first saw it in the nintees and thought that it is pretty cool. I saw it several times later. Then I had a long time, when it moulded on VHS. With new standards a few years before today I saw it again - and the guitar duel is still up to date. Its a pretty cool movie, underrated. :D

I really like this list, but wonder why these lists get ignored so hard:

https://www.imdb.com/list/ls091386932/
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls097089312/
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls091194626/
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls097159126/
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls041490571/

I think these are pretty good. But I also don't want to arrogate. I think the mods know what to do and why doing it. It also might be a matter of events that take place. Then an apropriate poll should go online. And when the suggestions don't fit to the events - like e.g. Oscars, Globes, etc. - then it's clear not to take unrelated polls. :D

Hi,

Most poll authors make suggestions that are not used, and they don't usually get an explanation why. That's how it has always been.

Timeliness can be important, as you say; sometimes a suggestion becomes more relevant after some time. Originality is also a factor. And of course execution, such as text that is clear and accurate. Sometimes corrections are offered, but you can't always count on that.

In four of these lists I didn't find any sign that they are used before. I one case (International Godfathers of Action) there was a reaction of ED, but my suggestion was different by naming 5 movies that shows the actor as actioner. And with changing to "International" the whole poll idea was changed widely. Please show me examples of polls or poll suggestions for the other 4 examples, I mentioned. I always try to be original as can, when I suggest. :D Details may change a whole idea.

As I said, poll authors do not usually get an explanation why a suggestion is not used. I gave you a general reply. I did not make any claims about your suggestions, and there is not necessarily one specific reason why a suggestion is not used.

If you look at the forum, there are many posts that don't get many replies and many suggestions that don't become polls.

ACT_1: This poll idea is about a peak situation with music in a music movie. If the poll gets online before 'Cats' (2019) starts, I cant take it on the list later, if there is still one option free. But then I need a paek situation with a fitting image and a fitting description line. If you present that and there are still 35 slots free, I'd ask for a re-push, when it's already gone online. But I wouldn't wait, because this one is really good, I think.

I guess, these are not musical lovers. I hope it's better then its reputation.
Anyway, I better not put any sequence of it to the list. Or can anybody tell me a peak
sequence of this movie?
P.S.: When I said "But I wouldn't wait, because this one is really good, I think." it wasn't the movie, I meant ! It was my poll idea, I meant !

Corrected option #4: Put an "it" between make and sound:
make it sound
put the word "sequence" to option #20.

Peter this is an idea I will have to struggle with, if it gets online. That's because there are so many worthy options on the list that I really would have to struggle with the decision of which option I should pick. When people started to vote their options, I'll wait in the background and later pick one of my favorite options which is lower rated. I love most of the options. ;D

Suggested edit for one sentence of the intro:

It might be a musical or a movie centered on rock, jazz, pop, rap, classical music, or any other kind of music that does a good job.

'Changed "music movie" to "music" and changed the syntax a bit.

I've put the image to the list, please look at it, it is sub-optimal. The other has text in it, which I wouldn't prefer. Isn't there a better image for it? I will search, too.

Thank you very much, community. :D
Last time it was a little rough to get polls online. And I must admit, the weeks before X-Mas, I always have to strugle with a few things. So I got less time and I was a little rare. Special thank you to make it a featured poll. :D Nice! Around the Hollidays I might even be a little more rare, because of the visits. In any case, I wish us all a Merry Christmas. :D And thank you for a year of fun with polls. ;)
