LIVE POLL: Krzysztof Kieslowski's Leading Ladies

Thirty years ago, celebrated Polish director, Krzysztof Kieslowski, passed away. One of his greatest strengths is writing for emotionally complex and independent female characters.

Which of the following of his female protagonists has the most powerful and moving story?

Kieslowski's one of my favorite filmmakers. And that was true even before I caught on that he really was great at creating strong female characters. My vote will probably go to Valentine unless she just wipes out Véronique and/or Julie; in that case, I'd probably vote for one of them.

Great poll.

Thanks.

Valentine was my immediate impetus for making this poll. Finally gotten around to seeing Three Colors: Red (1994), last week at the Metrograph.

@dan_dassow I didn't realize it until I looked it up the other day, but I'm really happy that THIS poll just happens to be my 400th poll published. This is a perfect milestone poll for me.
