Oh Boy, this is going to be tough. I've watched many foreign films, but I don't remember their names or the name of the actors/characters in it.

Almost all the foreign films I've watched was on television. And they were dubbed in English. The only actor comes to my mind when I think about foreign movies is Jackie Chan. LOL

Imma need sometime to think about it. I'll post my top 10 list later.

An interesting question: from my perspective as I'm from Ukraine US movies are technically foreign, so it might help to add "(Non-English)" to the title of the suggestion. Just five cents. :)

My Top 10, so far, despite still being very subjective I tried my best not just to pile up favorite movies, but concentrate on certain level of cinematic perfection:

I know my first two would be Three Colors: Red and Salaam Bombay! but I'll have to look through the 52 page-list of films that I've seen to jog my memory for the rest. Once I have the time to look, it won't take long. I really like this idea.

Oh, I'm assuming you mean just feature films? (No shorts, for example; what about documentaries?) 'The Red Balloon' would be on my list, too, if it weren't a short.

I know a few of the films you've listed are also available in another language (s). But this list is about non-English cinema only.

Films like The Dollars Trilogy and 'Once Upon a Time in the West' are dubbed in Italian.
