Hi, Hoekkie!
It was when Sean Connery appeared in 'Robin Hood - Prince of Thiefes' The one with Costner.
The whole audience sighed WOW! It was a great moment, because they hid his appearance until the moment came. But there were a few other moments I would remember, if I thought a little while. Maybe I tell you another one later.

P.S.:
Just remembered another big moment. We saw 'Stargate' with Kurt Russel, directed by Roland Emmerich. Just in the moment, when Ra, the bad guy hit the button to start something I saw later on VHS, but can't remember proper, the film burnt and the screen got white. A few minutes later the manager of the cineplex came to us and appologized intense about the little slip-up that happened. The projectionist throw down a DM (Deutsche Mark) 50.000,- expensive filmrole. And we were given free tickets for another movie. I didn't knew before that the bad guys on screen can blow up projectionist careers by pushing the button. ;D

Another movie would be 'Schindler's List'. After those three hours, I was done.
blackbolt-3 asked me to give you her suggestions. She doesn't want to appear to much in Getsatifaction. :D ... If that's ok, she'd suggested:

'Interstellar' (#1)
'Avatar' (#2)
'Jurassic Park' (#3)

Hoekkie! Wait a minute! I got one very big experience. It was at a film museum when they found old missing reels of Laurel and Hardy. Before war there wasn't any dubbing industry, so Laurel and Hardy had to redraw their movies in several languages and imitated the pronounciation for the different European Countries. There were some movie roles found in Sweden - I hope, I remember the right country. I think they said it was Sweden. And I first saw Stan and Ollie talking German in a horrible pronounciation, so the movie was double as fun. These old reels were kept in a 1.2:1 format. Another issue when the time of silence movies was over. I'd have to seek, which movies it were. I know it were some short movies. I saw it from original-reel-copies they made for the interested audiences.

Guess it was: 'Glückliche Kindheit', 'Hinter Schloss und Riegel', 'Spuk um Mitternacht'. It's quiet more than 10 years ago that we saw it, more like 15 or 18 years ago, something like that.
'Pardon us', aka 'Hinter Schloss und Riegel':

'Brats' aka 'Glückliche Kindheit':

Thanks for your reactions and sharing your great experiences! Nice to hear! If you don't mind I keep it with Robin Hood, because the Laurel & Hardy is a short movie, and maybe this was the most special cinematic view but maybe not the movie that made the deepest impression on you.

As you know this is a poll board poll, so I think all the contributions have to came from poll makers. Did blackbolt-3 made polls?

Sorry, Hoekkie. I have to disappoint you. blackbolt-3 isn't registrated at getsatisfaction. IMDb-user=yes. We understand your point, if you not gonna put her suggestion on the list. We hope it'll become a poll soon. It's a very good idea for movie dudes. ;D

I don't see all movies in the theater; I'd say Frozen was the best theater experience.
As far as ones I didn't see in theaters to begin with, I think Last Action Hero would be the one I wish would come back for a limited anniversary release or something.  :)

The Wolf of Wall Street

Other intense experiences were Arrival, Inception and I have a very vague memory in my mind when I went to see The Incredibles.

There are so many and when I think "gotta see it in a theater," I think 'Lawrence of Arabia,' but to answer your specific question, I guess I'd have to go with, surprise, surprise, 'The Florida Project.'
I'm becoming so predictable, lol.

Thanks, yes I could’ve know that :)
Your question is also interesting, which movie would you like to see in a theater. Maybe a good suggestion for later. Or if you like to make the suggestion...
I added Florida Project.

Ok, it has been a while, but at the time of its release it was quite an impressive movie: Apocalypse Now (1979)

Christopher Nolan's films are the best to watch in theaters.
