Added, but I used Gone with Wind instead of Star Wars.

FYC:

Beginning with a song (James Bond movies, A lot of Disney movie) - you can take your pic.

Beginning with a monologue/Speech (Patton)

Beginning with voice over - I don't recall at this time.

I have added the monologue beginnings and the voice-over beginnings, but song beginnings and overtures don't really fit the poll's idea.

FYC: Throw us straight into the film's primary narrative, with good use of flashbacks.

Eg. The Prestige

Suggestion withdrawn, just saw "The Usual Suspects" option. That works.

Hmm.. I didn't see this option last time.

I withdraw my suggestion - since it's already there.

'Great poll idea and great list. I don't know which one I'd pick but I do often like films that aren't strictly linear so (maybe beginning with the chronological ending or) probably medias res.

I'm not sure that this would work or if it would just needlessly complicate things but I was thinking of a combination of two or more: for example, Argo is probably a combination of an introduction text (definitely: the illustrations / mini graphic novel) and voice-over (possibly), although I guess the voice-over could be considered part of the introduction text.
