What does "vintage" mean in this context? For instance, Clash of the Titans wasn't made that long ago, just like The Boys from Brazil wasn't. He portrayed hunter Ezra Lieberman, the main protagonist, in tBfB, by the way.

Good poll! & Tough choice! Since you're using the word "stage," which I think is a good choice, perhaps adding the word "career" would make for more clarity. Which stage of Sir Lawrence Olivier's remarkable acting career is your favorite?

@mariojacobs I like how you formatted the set-up for the decades. But, you have only one title for the 30s and three titles for the 40s with other decades getting seven titles. A more balanced highlights approach, where you just list his five most notable films per decade (sequentially) would look better and be fairer. https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature,tv_movie,video&role=nm0000059&sort=num_votes,desc&view=simple 30s: Wuthering Heights (1939) becomes 30s Highlights: As You Like It (1936), Fire Over England (1937), The Divorce of Lady X (1938), Q Planes (1939), Wuthering Heights (1939) 40s: Henry V (1944), Rebecca (1940), Hamlet (1948) becomes 40s Highlights: Pride and Prejudice (1940), Rebecca (1940), That Hamilton Woman (1941), Henry V (1944), Hamlet (1948)
