What does "vintage" mean in this context? For instance, Clash of the Titans wasn't made that long ago, just like The Boys from Brazil wasn't. He portrayed hunter Ezra Lieberman, the main protagonist, in tBfB, by the way.

I changed vintage to stage, thank you for pointing out the ambiguity. Good movie, I think I'll keep Marathon Man just because it has better ratings. 7.4/1058,519Rate ThisMarathon Man (1976)R | 2h 5min | Crime, Thriller | 8 October 1976 (USA)7.0/1025,800Rate ThisThe Boys from Brazil (1978)

Well, I hadn't been familiar with "vintage" as a noun, but maybe most people know this word in that way.

@mariojacobs  I find the question unnecessarily confusing and unclear. Which stage of Sir Laurence Olivier's remarkable acting career is your favorite? I do not think stage is the right term either, as a word choice over vintage. It is especially confusing to use it for someone who has had a substantial stage career, in addition to movies and TV. Plus, you say stage and then cite a single year, which doesn't make sense unless you are splitting his career into sixty-four stages. Wouldn't it be better to use the term period, era, decade or another term and then to break his active years from 1925–1988 down into year ranges, like 1939-1948, 1949-1958, 1959-1968, 1969-1978 and 1979-1988. Also, I do not think some of the titles selected as standard bearers for his stages are his best or most well-known work.  Fyi, the last image is missing too.

@urbanemovies thank you for noticing that the Wuthering Heights image is missing. I also think that "decades" is a better word. I think I'll choose a well-known movie to represent a decade and then list some other titles along that decade...

@urbanemovies Yes, thanks, I'll do the major updates on the weekend. Now I am just bumping old suggestions from the quarentine time which hopefully just need minor tweaks. I'm not suggesting new ones.

Good poll! & Tough choice! Since you're using the word "stage," which I think is a good choice, perhaps adding the word "career" would make for more clarity.  Which stage of Sir Lawrence Olivier's remarkable acting career is your favorite?

Also, the correct spelling is Laurence.

@mariojacobs  I like how you formatted the set-up for the decades. But, you have only one title for the 30s and three titles for the 40s with other decades getting seven titles. A more balanced highlights approach, where you just list his five most notable films per decade (sequentially) would look better and be fairer. https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature,tv_movie,video&role=nm0000059&sort=num_votes,desc&view=simple 30s:  Wuthering Heights (1939) becomes 30s Highlights: As You Like It (1936), Fire Over England (1937), The Divorce of Lady X (1938), Q Planes (1939), Wuthering Heights (1939) 40s: Henry V (1944), Rebecca (1940), Hamlet (1948) becomes 40s Highlights: Pride and Prejudice (1940), Rebecca (1940), That Hamilton Woman (1941), Henry V (1944), Hamlet (1948)

@urbanemovies Indeed, I also noticed it. I kept only 5 highlights for each decade after a CTRL+F search on the IMDb advanced search page. It is not a face-off suggestion anymore.

@mariojacobs I wouldn't give it much thought, six is the right number of decades. I took a different approach and got the same results basically. I think it both looks better and poses the premise better now.
