Homer was a brilliant Greek bard that authored, most notably, the Iliad and the Odyssey (Western civilization's first complete stories). The Iliad follows the assault on Troy by the united Greek forces lead my mighty Achilies. The Odyssey follows king Odysseus on his wanderings back to Ithaca after the Trojan war.
