LIVE POLL: Challenge "Game of Thrones" IMDb Poll Opinions

Over the years, "Game of Thrones" viewers have asked and answered a lot of GoT questions. Sometimes, the GoT fan base came to a near unanimous consensus, while at other times they had divisive opinions on a topic. In pop culture, Vox populi is used to describe the opinion of the majority of the people, the term literally means "voice of the people" in Latin.

In retrospect, in which of these Game of Thrones (2011) IMDb poll questions do you most DISAGREE with the collective* IMDb poll results, or alternatively the "Vox populi" answer? *
Each poll is represented by the featured image of the poll winner as of 18 June 2024.

SPOILER ALERT:
Intended for viewers current through the 2019 final season, as polls reveal discussed, depicted or backstory Game of Thrones (2011) details.

Intended as a GoT retrospective and inspired by Dan Dassow's Live Poll: Most Compelling Set of Posters poll.

It seems pretty straight forward polling concept to me, you don't even have to click any of the hyperlinks. You read each option's GoT question and check to see if the accompanying image reflects your answer too (or at least a reasonable answer you wouldn't take issue with). I would assume most poll options will fall into that category. If you disagree with the IMDb consensus on a half dozen options let's say, you vote for the one you most strongly disagree with the Vox populi on. It should take about two minutes to fully complete the poll.

These fifty "Game of Thrones" original series questions and answers were the source material for the final thirty-five questions and answers chosen to represent the Vox Populi, the voice of the people in this poll suggestion.

*** Updating Vox Populi Poll Results ***

(Answer Changes As of 20 August 2022)

😃 I updated the featured image for the leading answer to each question as of the vote totals on 20 August 2022.

I think these three lead changes reflect the neck and neck race going on in these particular poll questions, as well as, other factors: 1) the published timing the question that gave a early lead to one answer over another 2) changing fortunes and popularity of actors and characters and 3) perspective gained over time since the series conclusion.

August 21, 2022 is the debut of the World of Westeros franchise prequel series, "House of Dragons".  An all Game of Thrones franchise poll day would be a good way to mark the debut.

I think the date should be focused on a retrospective look of the polls from the original series, Game of Thrones (2011), as well as, a forward look with polls about the new series, House of the Dragon (2022).

Urb, you wrote Poupuli instead of Populi in the options

@Pencho15 Thanks, nice catch. I made the Populi corrections.  The downside of saving time with a of a cut n paste approach is you can make the same error thirty-five times.

I would think with a retrospective approach and with internet search interest among TV titles currently placing "Game of Thrones"@ #5 overall. The publishing timing couldn't be better for this poll.

IMDb celebrates the ninth anniversary of the current version of the IMDb Polls on Sunday September 4, 2022. This would be a great opportunity to publish this poll on the 9th IMDb poll anniversary, whereas it is a poll about polls, as well as, the airing date of the third episode of "House of the Dragon". I added this opening sentence to tie it all together: In celebration of the ninth anniversary of IMDb's current poll interation on Sunday September 4, 2022, a poll about polls.

Game of Thrones' 12th Anniversary and GoT Day and I assume now Worlds of Westeros Day is celebrated annually on the anniversary of its first franchise airing, which falls on Mon Apr 17th, 2023 this year.

In celebration of the twelfth anniversary of "Game of Thrones" first airing that occured on Sunday April 17, 2011, a GoT poll about GoT polls.

Please correct:

In pop culture, Vox populi is used to describe the opinion of the majority of the people, the term literally means "voice of the people" in Latin.

as measured by IMDb vote total results as of 25 May 2024.

#5: Viserys III Targaryen

#14: Drogon

#18: Which "Game of Thrones" Magical or Mystical Power Would You Most Want?

#27: Ramsay Bolton

@Jessica Thanks, I made all the corrections.

Plus, I re-verified the results, and not a single one the thirty-five has been displaced as the "voice of the people's choice."
