BBC Two - Miss Marple - Episode guide

Search - BBC Programme Index

You can tell the type of people who listen to Classic FM from those results...

Old people who like classical music, plus relatively dull and boring shows.

Now if we asked listeners of BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra or Capital Xtra we'd get completely different results.

The Classic FM TV Music Countdown - Top 50

I've just listened to them all, as I haven't seen most of them, although some of them I will be watching eventually, and my favourites from the Top 30 list are roughly:

1 - Downton Abbey

2 - Game of Thrones

3 - Poirot

4 - The Adventure's of Black Beauty

5 - Victoria

6 - Thunderbirds

7 - Harry's Game

8 - The World at War

9 - Poldark

If it included the Top 50 I'd add Sherlock, Midsomer Murders, The West Wing, Bridgerton and Call the Midwife too.

I'm sure Poirot's theme tune Poirot - Theme Tune - YouTube gave me one or two nightmares as a kid, as it was similar to Strange But True's? spooky theme tune Strange But True - Theme Tune - YouTube

It's hard enough trying to remember what happened in most shows, never mind what their theme tunes are like, but a few I do remember and love include:

Keeping Faith (TV Series 2017–2021) - IMDb

Our Girl (TV Series 2013–2020) - IMDb series 1

Our Girl (TV Series 2013–2020) - IMDb series 2

Our Girl (TV Series 2013–2020) - IMDb series 3 & 4

Unforgotten (TV Series 2015– ) - IMDb

The website I linked used an image from the latest Doctor Who, so I did the same. I have just listened to the radio countdown, and they played what they called the theme from Series Two and also credited Murray Gold, who only worked on the modern series.

I am familiar with Miss Marple; I just used an entry with a better image.

How could it be that they didn't vote for Monty Python's Flying Circus?
