Live Poll: Best Villain-Based Franchise

Friday the 13th is one of those great franchises which tried (and often succeded in) reivnventing oneself with each new film. At times more in spite of production values. Immediate sequel's production was a bit of a mess, which is evident through the fact that Jason is portrayed by six people... Although that is, pretty much an odd element seen in most of the slasher movies: for some reason even those which never hide the fact who is behind the killing spree have their antagonists portrayed by multiple people. In Halloween frnachise that was there from the get go and pretty much remained a production staple with every film having Michael Myers portrayed by at least two actors. 

What always fascinates me is that professional and well-planed filming and editing actually manages to hide that for the most part, creating seamless characters from hodge-podges. One of my favorite examples bordering slashers is The Terminator (1984). I've actually accounted titular character's full screen time and it turned out to be 26 minutes with Schwarzenegger being there for like 16 of them. I really hope to account things like that for most major slasher franchises, although process is everything but fast: first you compile the shots and then you methodically account how much they actually last, usually via editing software (not to mention research on who's where). A very inspiring and educating process, though, which makes you learn a lot of additional tricks in editing and filmmaking.
