I'm not sure, if that is what you had in mind. Should they do good deeds for a while in the movies or is repenting enough? Sam Cayhall regretted his deed shortly before his death on the electric chair. He realized that his deeds were bad and repented. Same for Matthew Poncelet, who died by deadly injection.
