Sdk: I would suggest adding Best Picture winner One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest to the list.

I think I'll stick to BP nominees and maybe make a Face-Off with the 4 winners (Wolves, Lambs, Deer and Cuckoo)... otherwise, it's gonna be a predictable sweep by the usual winners.

Attica! Attica!

SotL is no longer on the list, so my favorites now are Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Dog Day Afternoon, with Crouching Tiger coming up third. My vote will go to Dog Day Afternoon. 'Good taste, rocky, as usual, and good poll, ElMo, as usual. :)

I saw Robin Hood when I made the list  but I thought this would be stretching the concept a bit too far, all these titles have one thing in common, the name is supposed to mean the animal, even in the case of Lion. Robin Hood wasn't named after the bird so I'm not sure I should use it.

Same with Babe and Seabiscuit, they're characters' names, now I can add them but then specify that the title can be an animal's name, no problem but Robin Hood will still be disqualified :)

I'll sleep over it and certainly will make a few changes tomorrow (as for Slumdog, it's a BP winner, I made another poll about it)

Yearling is in, now :)

To fight for Babe and Seabiscuit, I reason it this way, when you said "Which Best Picture nominee whose title features the name of an animal ...", you didn't specify what type of animal name you wanted, as in the name of a type of animal, or the actual name of the animal featured in the films. To me, Babe and Seabiscuit do fit into the topic because they are the name of the animal featured in the films.

Also, if someone wants to get picky, a spider is an insect, and not an animal.

I think I wanted titles that evoke the animal world in a literal way, you're right when we hear "Babe", we can think of the pig, but you can as well think of Babe Ruth, that's a bit far fetched but the context of the film didn't really matter (like "Dog" for Dog Day Afternoon)

A spider isn't an insect but an arachnid but it's an animal as non-human/ non-vegetal or non-mineral... I took the word 'animal' in a broad way although I didn't know insects were not considered as animals, I know they're disgusting but do they deserve this discrimination?

Sdk: You are correct to say that spiders and insects are all classified as animals.

Also, they should not all be treated as disgusting. Some spiders and some insects are harmful to human beings, but others are beneficial.

Cat on a hot tin roof.

If you are going to consider Babe and Seabiscuit, then you also need to add Sounder.
