Live Oscar Face-Off: Davis vs. Hepburn vs. Nicholson vs. Streep

@RezaKJoi​ Hi Reza. I approached it from a few angles — I think first it was actors with Oscar wins who had the most nominations — and each way, the result was the same: these four people.

Olivier has a win and as many nominations as Davis. The phrasing is a little unclear.

@Peter_pbn​ But not two wins like Davis. I'm not sure how to make it more clear. Perhaps something will come to me but — oh, you're responding to my response to Reza? That's just one of a few examples of what I was thinking before I decided on the poll to do. It was an idea but not a decision. 

@Peter_pbn​ So far, what I've tried doesn't work. For example, "Below are the four actors with both the most Oscar nominations and the most wins in acting categories" doesn't work. If you have any suggestions, I'm open to changing the intro. 

Well, so far Reza's explanation is the best, and it's a consistent method. Though with that method, I think De Niro and Blanchett are also one win away.

I said De Niro and Blanchett are also one win away, you said they are one nomination away. With one nomination they would have 9 nominations and 2 wins (=11), which is not on a level with Davis' 10 nominations and 2 wins (=12).

@rubyfruit76​ Perhaps simply add a note:  Minimum 10 nominations and 2 wins.

@Peter_pbn​ I just lost the response I just typed up and I don't have time right now to retype it. I have no idea if what I've said in this thread with you is accurate or not — I don't trust my cognition as long as I have an untreated sleep disorder — but I'm pretty sure that the poll and original post are accurate. If not, then perhaps I'll change it later or perhaps not. It depends on how tired I am. 

@Pencho15​ I already did in the post above. If I simply use your wording, I could actually add that to the poll, though, as well. I wish you would have suggested that yesterday, lol. 

@Jessica​ I'm thinking the same thing. And wow, 21 nominations is amazing.
