JFF: Which series would you like to see again?

I am very happy to be among the fans of movies and series.

I would like this forum to be a little closer and friendlier

That's why I said that maybe there are some questions that you movie lovers will like.

Your opinion is more important to me because you are not an ordinary viewer.

Which series would you like to erase from your memory and watch again?

My opinion is the Chernobyl

Yeah, I would also like this forum to be a little bit friendlier, but I've not been able to figure that one out a long time. I mean, this is something that may necessarily vary with the subject matter and which particular area of the forum, and much of the time we find ourselves just discussing procedure, structure, mechanics and features, rarely whereby a somebody cracks a high-quality joke. We do have a few "just for fun" (JFF) threads, wherein we might fraternize a bit, but they seem to be declining in engagement over the years. Basically writing "welcome", "please", "thank you" and "no harm done" where warranted is usually about as friendly as it gets around here. Some of us (myself included) spend time exploring philosophy, reviewing history, addressing social issues or even making political statements, and once it a while, we drift off into subject matter that is grim or polarizing.

Anyway, I intend to see Persons Unknown again. There are some other series as well, I would like to revisit, but I can't seem to think of most of them at the moment.

Hi and Welcome @hamidrezampmm

I'm presently rewatching Heroes (2006)

@jeorj_euler

IIRC Persons Unknown was the one that was cliffhanger cancelled after 2 seasons yes? Black Panther was there?

As far as I know, there was only one season, indeed with a cliffhanger season finale. Chadwick Boseman was in there too, before he was famous, but often his character got separated from the group of captives on account of the character's affiliation with the United States military, or something like that.

I'm currently re-watching The Big O, after nearly two decades. I had re-watched Witch Hunter Robin and Cowboy Bebop a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure I want to bother with InuYasha, because there are so many seasons, but I usually keep it under consideration. These four were the main anime series on Adult Swim for a period of time, when some of them were relatively new.

My mistake. Only 1 season. It was one of those annoying premie cancellations.

Persons Unknown and Stranger Things are just two examples of drama mystery series having a theme or two patterned after MK Ultra experiments and similar such conducted in other places by agencies (civilian or military) commissioned by other sovereign governments, possibly in coordination with big universities. Some names of psychologists/sociologists that come to mind in regards to vaguely that kind of stuff are Henry Murray, Philip Zimbardo and Stanley Milgram.

When I first read about the Milgram Experiment, I was shocked not so much at the experiment, but by the proportion of the participants that went along with the process and did not object or attempt to intervene.

The degree to which the majority of the population fall in line with actual or perceived "authority", against basic logic and morality is profoundly shocking.

The majority of humans are sheep.

O, yeah. I too would like to see Northern Exposure again. That's one of those that hasn't become available for streaming, and no more reruns seem to have been aired after some time in the late 1990s. I've been trying to find Dark Angel, starring Jessica Alba, on streaming as well.

Dark Angel just started getting really juicy in the 2nd half of Season 2, with all the origins stuff; the new antagonist; Lydecker becoming an ally... and then it got cancelled.

Also, Jessica Alba always looked better as a brunette.

There used to be many conversations and even games when the IMDb hosted the discussion boards in their website. I actually came into the poll community because I first started participating in an elimination game that was always active.

@rubyfruit76 tried to have an elimination game here some years ago if I don't remember wrong, but it was closed and delted by IMDb staff.

@Dibyayan_Chakravorty promoted a Facebook group, and while it's there, it never really had any engagement.

I am one of the new users and I lost that time, it seemed like it was a good time, but it seems that you lost that time more than me..

I try to increase (jff)s.

It is very cold here, the ice has to melt somehow.

Maybe once I made a group or account for friends.

Thank you for your opinion

We had one member who tried to "break the ice" on a frequent basis, but he unfortunately was also rude or demeaning at times (by writing all manners of epithets/putdowns), especially toward ACT_1, and so he was supposedly banned from here, which was "evaded" once, maybe twice. There were a few clashes between him and several others including me, but I'm largely forgiving. He had cleaned up his act to a significant degree (and provided a great service to us), for a long time too, but all of us cannot observe everything all the time, so it is hard to know which particular behavior not out-of-character for him was the straw that broke the camel's back. Also, some people voluntarily close their own posting accounts yet turn around and publicly claim to have been banned, but I don't know whether or not that applied in his case. I won't identify him, but even if I did, it might not be appropriate to discuss his ultimate fate, because I've no proof, plus it would be hard to necessarily put forth a fair-and-complete story without dredging up memories not suitable for public consumption. We did have some good times, though.

I think one idea for ice breakers is for people to simply include images of cute anime animals in their messages, whenever things feel stale, boring, procedural, cold or indifferent. Hahaha. Right, now Tsarstepan is the closest one to do stuff like that, on ocassion. I would do it, but I'm too lazy to go and find a lot of cool, cute, friendly, funny memes.

I hope I didn't make you think I was rude.
I am very sensitive about such issues and I don't want to insult anyone.
Maybe my only problem is that sometimes I strongly object (usually to the site's process).

why are you lazy😂😂
Of course, this was a joke, I hope you don't take this as an insult

I don't know why my gif didn't upload, look in the link

Ready to continue working😎😅😬

Even though you've expressed dissatisfaction with the way things work around here and sometimes misunderstood the intent of other people's words, you're not really rude, hamidrezampmm. If you've ever observed a "flame war" on, say, Twitter, Reddit or 4chan, then you might understand what a worse case scenario might look like. I can say for certain that offenses such as libel and "dox" definitely cross the line.

I'm not sure that the forum software won't convert an animated GIF into a non-animated GIF, every single time one is uploaded, and I also suspect that WebP (an image format developed by Google, much like WebM) may not yet be supported at all.

@jeorj_euler I didn't see your comment, sometimes things get lost in announcements
In any case, I saw it
I try not to be rude, but I also like to joke, but I honestly don't know what people's capacity is.
One of the problems with this site is that there are people from different nations and cultures and I have to be very careful not to make mistakes.
I try to post more photos than gifs so that there are no problems

Is it good to be polite like him?😂😂

The Return of Sherlock Holmes! 🎬

Absolutely, I would love to see the return of the Sherlock Holmes series. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman's dynamic portrayal of Holmes and Watson was nothing short of brilliant. The intricate plots, clever deductions, and the modern twist on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic stories created a truly captivating viewing experience.

The chemistry between the characters, the suspenseful storytelling, and the unique visual style made the series a standout in the detective genre. I can't help but crave more of those mind-bending mysteries and the charismatic quirks of Sherlock.

So, here's to hoping for the return of the great detective and his loyal companion for more thrilling adventures and brilliant deductions!

🔍🕰️ What about you? Which series would you like to see again?

In light of Andre Brauher's death, a week or two ago, I might like to see Last Resort (about the United States nuclear submarine crew) again.
