Here, it is called a “community,” and as far as I know, this word has a particular meaning in English.

As far as I remember, before the war I was an active user, and I genuinely enjoyed creating polls and interacting with others. But it wasn’t just that. In my comments and those of other users, there were many signs of human interaction and an exchange of opinions, both about movies and about many other different topics.

After the first internet shutdown, I made a post titled “For Liberty,” but after the war—putting the war itself and its consequences aside—I witnessed one of the biggest internet shutdowns in history. I was very active right up until the days before the war. I even remember a user talking about this and mentioning what a priest in their country had said about it.

But after that major shutdown and when I came back, I felt that whether I was there or not made no difference. To be completely honest, there were at least a few people I had interacted with a lot, and I would have liked them to leave at least one comment asking what had happened to me or checking in on me.

Although some users have chosen a more robotic kind of interaction, focused solely on the world of movies, some of the users I interacted with chose something different—a friendlier atmosphere—or at least that was how I perceived it.

Of course, it is possible that expecting that from those few people was unreasonable or that I was asking too much.

In any case, I have decided to delete my account, perhaps to find another place and another community somewhere else.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I did think about you when the war started and I knew the reason for your absence. You also haven't posted on the poll board since you returned, which is why others may have missed your comments here in this post.

I am glad you are OK. Please know that mentioning your poll suggestions was my way of showing you are not forgotten and that you do make a difference in our community.
