Removal of IMDb Account “Sign in with Facebook”
Effective October 06, 2022, you will no longer be able to use “Sign in with Facebook“ to access your IMDb account. You can maintain access to your account and any saved information by setting a password on your IMDb account using the reset password process. Once you have done this, you will be able to use the “Sign in with IMDb” option for any future logins.
If you previously used "Sign in with Facebook" to access your IMDb account, please take the following steps to retain access to your account:
- Go to the IMDb Reset Password Page.
- Input the email associated with your Facebook account and select "Continue". You will receive an email with a link to reset your IMDb password.
- Return to the IMDb sign in page and select "Sign in with IMDb" to log in to IMDb with your email and new password.
If you have previously followed these instructions or have already set a password for your IMDb account, please return to the sign in page and use the "Sign in with IMDb" login method.
If you do not reset your password, you will not be able to access your IMDb account and the associated data (e.g. contributions, lists, ratings, recommendations, etc.).

Hello everyone,
I'm happy to inform you that IMDB finally sent my data to another email address, and now I can normally login from that account, and I found all my data again.
So if you have the same issue that you lost your account because of the Facebook login removal issue, just send to IMDB team and they'll assist. It took from 7 to 10 days until they solved my issue.

Hello,
I tried to log-in yesterday and was prompted with an error message stating that Facebook log-in is no longer available. I've been a member on the site for over ten years and rated over a thousand movies since. For all that time I've logged in using my Facebook account.
I was informed to create a new password using the e-mail associated with my Facebook account, and I tried doing so but I received an error message essentially stating that my e-mail message wasn't a part of imdb's system. That's odd considering that I know very well what e-mail is associated with my Facebook account. However, it seems like an e-mail I used on Facebook roughly ten years ago is still connected to imdb, even though I've been using a different e-mail for my Facebook account for almost a decade. Understandably my old e-mail has been deleted. Also note that I've never used an e-mail to log into my IMDB account, only the facebook connection.
Is there really no way for me to retrieve my account? The problem here seems to be that IMDB does not have an updated registry of Facebook associated e-mails. If a user created an account using Facebook, only the e-mail associated with the Facebook account at the date of imdb account creation can be used to now retrieve the account, even though the user may have changed his Facebook e-mail years ago.

Now you’ve stopped signing in via Facebook I can’t get back on my account because my old email address was linked to it.
Can I recover it? I only lost access to it today and it’s not deleted. My old email address was tbob1927@yahoo.co.uk and my new one is tbob1927@gmail.com.

I have used IMDb since 2017 using my Facebook account. I found that IMDb no longer allows login via Facebook. I tried the reset password using my Facebook email but the email address is not recognised.
I set up an IMDb account with my email address but would like to link to a list I created and have maintained for the last 5 years. I would like to continue to maintain my list but don't know how this can be done?

I was informed by IMDB that my login must be changed because of the IMDB-Facebook relationship was over. I followed the instructions but when I logged in with my email address it doesn't show my watchlist and even worse, my ratings history was reduced from more than a thousand ratings (more than 20 years as a IMDB user) to just 5, one from yesterday and the other ones from movies years ago.
What to do to recover my ratings history???

My account was a very old account and was used for Facebook sing in.
I went through the change of login details and everything since FB is no longer accepted. I also had a very old email address associated with the FB and IMDB account. So I had to change that here also.
Which I did, and rest my password…
now, I login and everything is gone :(
my 2.5k + ratings or however many it was, gone, watchlist also gone
is there any chance of restoring? I can find where to actually contact IMDb to get it resolved. It just keeps taking me in circles and not providing any actual support.

I used to login with Facebook, now it isn't possible anymore as I have read.
I've tried the steps as described but that does not work. I've tried to reset the password with the email I use for Facebook but it does not recognize this email address, so I arrived at en empty page.

So, I created an IMDb account more than a decade ago, linked to Facebook. The email address that was stored with Facebook at the time was obvisously then stored in IMDb and never updated when I updated my Facebook details (I guess the App only wrote the email address on account creation and never updated IMDb).
So, now IMDb no longer allows you to use FB to log in, I want to access my account, but I no longer have access to the email address I had a decade ago.
The support article says you should just create a new account, but this means I'll lose access to hundreds and hundreds of movies and TV shows I've rated over the decade, not to mention lists, etc. Is there no way to get access to my account?

Dear,
I have logged out of my IDMB app since almost 4 years.
I've logged in with FB at that time, since this period I've changed my email address to login to FB
Now no email address is accepted as described how to login if you're previous logged in with FB
Please help, I've lost hundreds of inputs.

Please help. I had almost 3.000 ratings in my former account.
After Facebook login was no longer possible I was updating my account mail. Once I changed the e-mail I got kicked out of my account.
Now I am unable to recover the account where I had all my movies track history.
Please help.
