Please put the full release date of a item at the top of the page.  It used to be there, now there is just the year.

I want to say I appreciate your advice, but I still am unable to do what I want to do with the new webpage. Let me give you an example:
I buy a movie, for example - THE DONNER PARTY
I open up the new webpage, type in the title name, and find that there are actually three versions listed by that title name.
I click on the version that matches the one I have purchased and that page opens up, giving me all the information I need to know about that particular version of the movie.
Now I actually do have 75 lists of various criteria by which I have categorized the 5000 movies I have in my collection and this movie may or may not already be on one or more of those lists.
My problem is this: How do I find out if this version of the movie is listed on any of the lists that I have already created and on which lists does it actually appear, in which case I can either choose to keep the movie as a duplicate or try to resell it? And secondly: How can I quickly and efficiently add this title to one or more of my already existing lists?
Previously I was easily able to accomplish this by just hovering over the check mark in the upper left corner and either adding or removing this movie from one or more of my lists, all the names of which would be visible in the drop-down box. Is there a way to do this now or should I just suck it up?
*****
The only thing you can really do here is read and write--it's doomed.
I think we need to add some kittens and puppies. Or maybe some baby otters.

Like I said in my original comment ... did they TEST this code with actual users? I used to work as a programmer, so I remember doing my own testing. LOL And wanting so much for the changes I'd done to work that I would see what I wanted to see. That's why there is usually a pool of testers who are trying to *break* the code. They *want* to find out what *doesn't* work.

"did they TEST this code with actual users?"...

That's the big question. It seems to me that the *actual* users are reacting just now, in the way we all are seeing...

... Tested ??

only by IMDb friends and family
that look up a movie on Friday or Saturday night
before going to the multiplex theater

Some of us are here all day everyday and night
lookin up what ever we are on watching TV now
to see who's who and what's what

Do not go out much with that ... world wide problem

@ahaycoman Please see the reply you received yesterday from @bderoes @ https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdbcom/introducing-updated-imdbcom-title-page-experience/60a40631c1307254c6cc1b0d?commentId=60bba84200ea110e398314ba&replyId=60bba84200ea110e398314bb — the functionality you requested is still there.

The lists menu is now over on the right underneath the trailer — click the down arrow to the right of the “+ Add to Watchlist” button.

Hope this helps.

LOL  When you have to keep telling people the NEW rules you should be getting the message - we loathe the new design. It isn't just having trouble finding where things are on the new pages, when we all knew how to do things before the changes, it is that the page itself is UGLY.

IMHO, new layout is bad... 1) Main Title Genre is in the MIDDLE OF THE PAGE, not under the title or on top side, where everyone, i think, read first about a Movie/Series (i do so, when i search for a title the first thing i look for is Rating and... Genres!!! Now i have to scroll down until the middle of the page only for this simple tag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 2) Layout is too... "big"... before it was perfect, compact, readable, with all informations in the right place and in the good place, characters, impagination etc.. now it's all too confused and, repeating, characters are too big (i set up Firefox to zoom at 70%...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Really don't like it!!!

Your new page layout is TOTAL GARBAGE!!!!!!!!

All those idiots that decided to change the view needs to be fired & banned from ever working in this area for life.

Bring back the old view PERMANENTLY!!

An example of the old view which is the BEST:

ALL the idiots that were involved in changing the page layout at imdb need to be fired IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

Bring back the old view & trash the current design FOREVER!

For those that are unfamiliar with the old view, here it is:

Oh, YES, thank you for saving that copy of the "old" version. I'm going to save that to post here again because it is 'living' proof of how good it was before these recent changes.

Oh it's so BAD!

I just flipped over from my second attempt at watching Aquaman and thought to write a review on IMDb this time, but it wasn't meant to be.

IMDb only frightens me away now.  It is way too weird.  It's either too roomy with too much white space and silly assets, or it's way too crowded with names.  Or both!

@Col, why hasn't a roll-up or hide function yet been implemented to the unceremonious roll out of names in the detailed view?  Seems like it would be really easy to do.

adding episodes to lists is so slow. The interface is so laggy in comparison to the old layout where all you had to do was mouse over the + icon and the lists would appear instantly. Now I have to press the plus button on the right and then wait 15 minutes for the lists to show up.

I like the old version much better. Hoping that IMDB will give everyone the option of selecting the old version instead of the new version only.

Sadly they won't do that. Having worked as a computer programmer I know that maintaining two versions of all those pages with all its many intricacies would be too hard. The best we can hope for is that there is enough protest that they go back to the old pages. And there's probably no chance of that happening because now they've spent all the money and time on programming these new pages. If only they had done some 'mock-ups' of what they planned and shown them to us - we would have all spoken up in time to prevent the changes.

We'll see how long this design lasts, seeing as how redesigns occur every so often over the course of years or decades. I think, I'd be shocked if this one lasts ten years.

Please, at least add  the year of the movies listed in the "More like this" section... We need to click on "i" to see this completely basic & essential info... Frustrating...

Thanks!

I was just about to post a complaint about this exact thing.  This lost feature makes me super salty!

I don't know why everybody is complaining about the new page.  I didn't come to IMDb.com to research info on movies and tv shows, I came to watch the adverts on the side. ;)

The new page design makes common library labeling and research use of the page painful and awkward.

1.  Now, if I highlight the stars of a film, the names cut and paste all crammed together.

1.1.  It seems someone sacrificed the perfectly common sense comma delimiter with a tiny picture of a dot.  This does not extract easily.

2.  Linking to a cover icon for a show is nearly impossible!

2.1.  Right-clicking on the picture for the cover icon no longer shows a link.

3.  If ain't broke...

3.1.  The site was not only not broken, it was fantastic and eye-catching and gorgeously organized.

3.2.  Why the sudden change?  Is this some middle manager's vanity project gone wrong?

3.1 is the best statement of all.  The old page was the best version.  I remember when they changed it 10 years ago and I didn't really mind the change.  This one is like taking a steaming dump on all the work that has ever been done in the history of this site.

I am sorry, but this new version is really bad.

Everything is just enlarged and you have to scroll, scroll and scroll again to find the information you are after.

Why do this? I am 40+ years old, have poor eyesight and an old tiny smartphone, and still no problem at all using the old version. Are you afraid that the next generation of movie enthusiast are half blind?

Style over substance, back to the drawing board. It should be quick and easy to find all relevant information, for most people Imdb is just a fact site for movies.

User friendly design first, always!

The designers of IMDb need to think about what the classic actors would have wanted.

How does anybody know what class actors would have wanted?

Probably recognition for the work that they have done.
