Each one of these actors played a criminal or a criminal’s lawyer, and policeman/FBI agent or District Attorney in different films. AKA, they took roles playing both sides of the law. This is especially true of the actors from the golden age of Gangster/Mobster movies and Film Noir. Some as even crooked Cops. Oh, Private Detectives are considered as being on the side of the police in this poll. And this poll also includes Westerns and pirate movies too.
