PS: The IMDb Poll Board User's Home Country's Most Beloved Actor's

Intro:

Everyone knows actors which were born and are mostly active in their own home region. The IMDb Poll Board users present their most admired home region actors, which are still living. (according to October 1st, 2021). They are performers of the present who still delight the audiences in cinema and TV-movies with their performances.

Which of them do you admire, too? ... Or which of them would you most like to see on screen?

Tell us here.

Suggestions:

Please suggest an actor or actress of your home country, which you do admire the most. The actor or actress has to be still living, according to the date the poll goes live. If there are too less suggesters, I might enhance it to two actors or actresses per user, but please let us first see how man suggesters there are before taking that step. It has to be an actor of the country you are mainly living in and he or she has at least 3 bigger roles in the three movies, not just exact 1 scene with a lenght of two minutes. The voters should be able to get his performing when he or she appears in the movies. - in case they would watch the movie.

Here, in Quebec, Patrick Huard is a megastar, but I know he isn't known at all in the rest of Canada.

@cinephile

Hi, cinephile. Thank you for suggesting. Are there three movies in which he had a bigger role? I must admit that I don't know him, too. But don't worry. Many older people in Germany also don't know about Tom Schilling, which I've put as an example on the list. But he was the lead in some good movies I really do like. I'll put Patrick Huard on the list.

Peter Schilling = Musician, genre: Neue Deutsche Welle (translates like: "New German Wave")

Tom Schilling = Interesting new actor, newcomer with style

Trivia: Schilling = old Austrian currency, replaced by the €uro in the early 2000s, guess it was 2001 or 2002. 7 Schilling were 1 Deutsche Mark. 1.95 Deutsche Mark was 1 €uro at the time it changed. And also a family name of many people. I wonder if he has to change his name into Dollar or Peso, if he would move to the USA? ;)

Are there three movies in which he had a bigger role?

He has the leading role in:

Bon Cop, Bad Cop (2006)

Starbuck (2011)

Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 (2017)

He has major secondary roles in about 20 other films. I don't like him very much. I suggested him because, according to surveys, he is the most loved actor in Quebec.

Is it ok for you that I've put him as your pick on the list?

To avoid the Mexican actors that are well known outside my country, I'll nominate Daniel Giménez Cacho

@dibyayan_chakravorty

Dibyayan, this time the actor has to be alive. Chatterjee died in November 2020.
