P.S.: The Canterville Ghost

The list: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls022178488/ Oscar Wilde’s comic novella, “The Canterville Ghost”, about the ghost of Sir Simon De Canterville who is doomed to haunt Canterville Castle until one of his descents performs an act of bravery and courage in his name*, has been filmed many times with a French version, a few German versions, a two musical version, two animated versions, and a new CGI animated version in development. Many fine actors have played this part. Showing them in chronological order, (Yeah, you have to go through the older film versions and old tv versions first before you get to the more modern actors), who do you think played him the best (aka, who is your favorite)? Do your comedy ghost hunting here if you want to talk about it. * What adds comedy to the story is that until his curse gets broken, Sir Simon must perform his duties as a ghost and must scare away everyone from the castle. It goes well for him until he eventually meets a family who simply can’t be scared away.

Oh, I saw this trailer. I didn’t see the film but I was with how the special effects enchanted the hilarity. Enjoy. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x2-aVVI...

I never knew so much great actors portrayed that role! Animated version voiced by Vladimir Kenigson is great and evokes many pleasant memories.
