PS: Spielberg Alien Close Encounter You Most Desire (3/15 World Contact Day)

Which of these alien lifeforms from a Steven Spielberg-directed movie would you most like to have a close encounter of the fifth kind with? 

J. Allen Hynek, an astronomer and noted ufologist, created a progression of levels of alien contact in his 1972 book, 'The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry'. The Steven Spielberg movie, 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind',  is named after a level on the Hynek scale. Hynek, who served as a technical consultant on the film, makes a cameo toward the end of the film; after the abducted World War II fighter pilots disembark from the "mother ship," his character steps forward to view the spectacle as the bearded character with a pipe in his mouth. On an expanded version of Hynek's original close encounters scale, direct communication between a human earthling and an alien lifeform is called a close encounter of the fifth kind.

In celebration of World Contact Day on Sunday, March 15, 2026, an annual collective attempt to contact beings from another world through mass telepathy is intended to bring all alien life enthusiasts together in the joint effort.
