I was watching [linkTo=tt0061747]Hang 'Em High (1968)[/linkTo], when my attention was caught by Pat Hingle, as Judge Adam Fenton, says “… I am the Law …”, 27 years before Slyvester Stallone made that phrase famous as the catchphrase of [linkTo=tt0113492]Judge Dredd (1995)[/linkTo]. And in real life, the legendary Judge Roy Bean, who has been featured in many westerns, (Walter Brennan won his 1st of 3 oscars playing him), call himself “The only law west of the Pecos (River)”. So what is your favorite film or TV series of ANY GENRE, not just westerns, depicting any period in time, where a character ether says “I am the Law”, or calls himself the law? Not calling himself the police, the law instead
