LIVE POLL: Fraser’s Oscars Speech, a Whale of a Tale
Brendan Fraser delivered a teary-eyed and nautical metaphor-laden acceptance speech (speech video) for his Best Actor performance in The Whale (2022) at The Oscars (2023). The heartfelt speech contained no fewer than ten separate maritime references, occuring every twelve seconds on average, in his roughly two minute thank-yous (speech text).
In retrospect, which statement best describes your take on Brendan Fraser's Oscars acceptance speech?

@urbanemovies ,
My vote:
I liked the speech, but would have liked to hear more nautical metaphors.

I decided to swap out three unknown nautical metaphor media titles that were close approximations to ones Brendan Fraser did use in his speech for three more well-known nautical metaphor media titles that he could have used in his speech to discuss his career and his journey.
