Sasquatch, also commonly referred to as Bigfoot, is a large and hairy human-like mythical creature. Sasquatch is featured in both American and Canadian folklore, and has become an enduring icon in popular culture.

Harry and the Hendersons is my favorite. I love the Jack Link's commercials Hanging with Sasquatch, that would be a great movie IMO.

FYC,

BigFoot Alternate Names / Regional Aliases

FYC, there are more fictional and documentary Bigfoot movies out there, but you will  have to use one of the alternate names for a proper keyword search to find thier movies. There are certainly ones better than the current dozen or so( 2.0/3.0 IMDb rated options and the ones with <1000 vote options) that are currently part of the answer pool.

FYC, I think you should use the proper terms, and/or use the actual regional "Bigfoot" names, instead of calling everything a Bigfoot-like creature in each answer note.

FYC, I would feature all the North American Hominid / Humanoid Cryptic movies in your poll that resemble Bigfoot, but you should use their regional names correctly.

I think you are already populating your answer pool to some degree that way, but it is unclear in your notes or introduction, if this is on accident or purpose.

For Instance, if Bigfoot were seen in Florida they say they saw a "Skunk Ape," in Ohio they would say they saw a "Grassman," in Virginia they would say they saw a "Wood Booger,"  and so on throughout every state and province. It is clear that all of these creatures arise from a common source (since they are nearly identical in reported appearance), it just their labeling that is different.

Sasquatch, also commonly referred to as Bigfoot, is a large and hairy human-like mythical creature alleged by some to inhabit forests in North America. Sasquatch is featured in both American and Canadian folklore, and has become an enduring icon in popular culture.

Which of these movies would you be interested in watching (again)?

FYC, It seems odd that you would only mention the that he has only two names in the introduction, not mention the creature's name in the question, and then go to populate the answer pool with movies with bigfoot-like creatures that are called something else, but use the bigfoot-like catch-all phrase. I think some constinency is called for here, as based on how it is presented, it will be very confusing to most polltakers.

FYC,

  • I would say use the phrase, "Sasquatch, aka Bigfoot or another regional name" in the introduction without a long list.
  • I would change the question to "Which selected movies about the North American  humanoid cryptic, most often known as " Bigfoot" would you be interested to watch (again)?
  • I would use the name of the specific creature, as it is refered to in the movie in the answer box, whether it be Boggy Creek Monster, Fouke Monster, Wildman, Bushman, Skunk Ape, Wood Booger, or some other name altogether.

FYC, I would try to make your introduction more neutral, balanced and impartial. It is coming off a bit weird as is, specifically the part about "mythical creature alleged by some to inhabit forests in North America." I don't get the part of how a mythical creature can allegedly do anything.

Plus, there have been sightings and reports worldwide of similar Bigfoot species going back thousands of years and across just about every culture. I can see the case for and the case against and both have valid points. There is definitely some fraudsters in play here with some ofnthese sightings and reports and whose endgame is to make a quick buck. Unfortunately, their actions have tainted the supporting evidence that is not as easily explained away.

FYC, National Sasquatch Awareness Day falls on Tuesday, October 20th of 2026.

How to Celebrate National Sasquatch Awareness Day

National Sasquatch Awareness Day falls on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, marking the anniversary of the famous 1967 Patterson-Gimlin film. It is a light-hearted observance that celebrates Bigfoot folklore, bringing together believers, sceptics, and the simply curious to enjoy one of North America’s most enduring mysteries.
