Which ritualistic human sacrifice scene performed by a cult is the most impressive one?

It reads like these were real cults acting for the cam, am I right? I can't imagine that it's true. That can't be?!
If it was about historical cults in real life, I would have suggested the sacrificing cult of the Mayas in Apocalypto.
very good, I included it in the 2nd position and I edited the text:
by a cult — historic or fictional —
and also removed the face-off status
I guess there were more. Weren't there movies about David Koresh?
And there sure was a movie about the Japanese Ōmu Shinrikyō
Cult. They poisened about 1000 people with Sarin in Tokyo's Subway 1995.
I don't know if you would count it to "cult sacrifices". But if you do,
does Charles Manson also fit?
In one part of the Pirates of the Caribean franchise Jack Sparrow was about to be sacrificed by some natives on an island. But it also seemed they were plain cannibals. I don't know if that counts. Maybe because he was ritually painted by the native tribe.
In Green Inferno some intruders were sacrificed by a native's tribe of the Amazonas.
In King Kong (1976) with Jeff Bridges, a cult tried to sacrifice Dwan (Jessica Lange) to King Kong. But he freed her. Btw.: Fay Wray?
Paranormal Activity (3 or 4 - I guess it was part 3): A religious cult is around to sacrifice people. It was shown at the end of the movie. P.S.: I just read - It was Part 3. The image of Grandma, (intended pun -->) witch broke the spine of the guy with a distant gesture of her hand.
In Hereditary, a cult swears the demon Paimon which sacrifices people in a most frightening way. The demon can only have an effect, because of the believers of the cult. Another image. A third Image.
The Cult in 'Get Out', where white people sacrifice the souls of black people to transfer their soul, personality, whatever into their bodies to cope with illnesses and to survive. What happens to the black souls? The cult members don't care about in that story. It's also a kind of human sacrifice, even though the black body survives. Maybe a more symbolic image? Look.
How can we improve?
