The original "Battlestar Gallactica" was the most expensive television series ever when it debuted. It immediately proceeded to flop. Ratings dropped every week and it was pretty much cancelled before the last episodes of the season (already in the can) ever played on television. Because so much money had been spent on costumes, sets, and actor contracts, they brought it back the next year as Gallactica 1980. It was set with the Battlestar Gallactica having found Earth. Lots of scenes could now be shot in and around modern day Los Angeles and stock footage could be used for a lot of the special effects. This show was a bigger flop than the original. Back in the days when a series had 25 episodes in a season, this show only got 10.
It had an overhyped opening, but was never really a success. I don't know that it belongs on your list.
A show that might belong is the 1966 Batman television series. It was so popular that actors and their agents were contacting the show trying to be the guest villain or to be in the window of one of the famous wall climbing scenes. Guest stars included some of Hollywood's biggest stars of the day. The show actually showed two new episodes each week. There were 120 episodes in just 2 1/2 seasons. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059968/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_9_tt_7_nm_1_in_0_q_batman

Maybe Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987)? It became a massive cultural phenomenon by season 3.

Too many candidates. So I splitted in two parts, TV Series starting from 1950s to 2000s and 2000s to 2026.
