Live Poll: Ludwig van Beethoven's Ode To Joy
Hi there, an idea for your consideration. Suggestions welcome. Thank you.
he Symphony No. 9 was composed between 1822 and 1824 by the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven and is one of the most performed symphonies in the world. Without lyrics, it became the European Union's official National Anthem in 1985.
The symphony is regarded by music experts as Beethoven's greatest work and one of the supreme achievements in the History of Music.
The symphony was the first example of the use of voices in a symphony and the words - taken from the "Ode to Joy", a poem written by the German dramatist Friedrich Schiller in 1785 - are sung during the final movement by four vocal soloists and a chorus.(Wikipedia)
Ode to Joy (music video)
Here follows a list of movies/episodes that contain "Ode to Joy" in their soundtrack, according to IMDb.
Which is the most rapturing one?

The Ode to Joy is in the fourth movement, as you say. This means that films which only include other parts of the symphony, such as Clockwork Orange, do not contain the Ode to Joy.

Congratulations, Mario.
It's nice to see that there are still users who love classical music. Or is it just about the ode?
