Hans Christian Andersen is widely known as the Danish counterpart to the German fairy tale collectors, Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm. While the Grimms collected and published about 200 folk tales that they did not invent, Andersen created over 150 works entirely from his own imagination, most of them instructive fairy tales, including shorter stories and collections. His stories have often been adapted into films, sometimes live-action, sometimes animated. How do you prefer his stories on screen - performed by live actors or presented in animated form?
