Poll Suggestion: For Liberty

Which film, in your opinion, best depicts the struggle for social freedom and the fight against systemic oppression?

Cinema often reflects our darkest realities, and the following account highlights the weight of that struggle today:

The recent nationwide unrest in Iran emerged for many reasons, with economic hardships at the core. However, starting January 8th, around 9:00 PM, the digital world was completely silenced. All connectivity vanished, and making calls became impossible at night—it felt as if the entire infrastructure had been physically disconnected.

During the first few days, we witnessed unprecedented disruptions; even basic payment systems failed. It has only been a few days since some services were restored. This was a deliberate systemic decision. After more than two weeks, this is the first time I have been able to reach the world again.

But I am profoundly exhausted—for my people, for the lives lost, for the livelihoods destroyed, and for the dark days filled with the echoes of conflict, constant anxiety for family, skyrocketing prices, and immense sorrow. The struggles persist. Long live hope and liberty."
