Live Poll: Face-Off: Truman Capote vs. His Creation

Truman Capote wrote the "nonfiction novel" 'In Cold Blood' in the year 1966 about the murder of a Kansas farm family in their home.

Which of these dramas do you find the most hard-hitting?

Good one! And wow, that's a tough question made even more difficult by the time that has passed since I saw 'In Cold Blood' (many years) and how the book comes into my mind so I don't know if I'm judging the book (a masterpiece) or the movie, which I think I thought was great. I also thought 'Capote' was great and Philip Seymour Hoffman's performance was one of the best that I've seen.

The title is also so good, especially because it could be seen as a twist on the question that Capote asked himself and what 'Capote' (the movie) asks: does an artistic masterpiece justify this artist's morally questionable/reprehensible actions?

Thank you. Same for me as well. I watched 'In Cold Blood' more than a year back and just watched 'Capote' a couple of days back. That is when it struck.

The best thing I like apart from moral was the emotional treatment of the characters. And just realizing that it was a real story, is even more crucial.
