Well, by now, I've seen both of them. Alas, I've only seen the cable television cut for the 2017 movie, and such a cut is censored to a degree. Seems like the serious first chapter may be superior, but for some reason, perhaps due to my age, I found the clownish second chapter to be more engaging. I actually basically waited for both movies to be in a condition of publication, so that I could watch them as a double feature, and interestingly I wound watching them across abutting days, like the way the 1990 two-part miniseries aired, which I did see maybe a maximum of three or four times, throughout the course of the last thirty years.
