Carrie is a horror drama media franchise, based on the 1974 novel of the same name by author Stephen King. It mainly follows Carrie White, a shy, outcast and bullied high school girl from an abusive household who has telekinetic powers.
So far, this supernatural horror franchise has three theatrical feature-length films (The original film, a sequel and a remake), one television film and one TV series.

Stephen King himself has said that all of the remakes and sequels were not necessary, as the original Sissy Spacek/Piper Laurie movie was incredible and was better than his own book. I agree with King on this one and would vote that way.
