What the hell?! I don't even remember what the above response post by me previously contained (prior to the forum software migration) or was supposed to contain. I don't how I had the technical capacity to create a blank post, so I presume that the content became redacted in the changeover process.

Nice poll, Paok!  My choice: Brandon and Marianne.  FYC: Adaline and the other guy from Age of Adaline.  Been a long time since I seen it, didn't really like it, but if you can find them, there you are.  :)

NarniaisAwesome. good suggestion, it took me a while to pick up where you were going with it? One of my favorite movies of 2015.Paok-Kilkis, Are we talking about The Age of Adaline actor's (6 years) age difference or character's (107 - 34 estimated = 73 years) chronological age difference? How would determine character ages on the other options? I had to guess Ellis Jones's age, but Adaline Bowman's chronological age is well discussed in the movie. As well as, noting Adaline stayed physically 29 years old, which gets back to the couple being about five years apart physically. Which of these couples with huge age difference is your favorite?

It's about the age difference of the characters not the real life age differences of the actors. In most cases the age difference is not specifically stated in the movie but it is suggested that the characters have a substantial age difference.

I thought about adding the ages differences but in most cases the ages of the characters are not stated in the movie specifically. It's just the context provided by the movie, that the two characters have an substantial age difference.

What is a huge age difference? Why is the age difference not shown in the answer options? Why are so many shorter age differences included (Sabrina Audrey Hepburn, William Holden 10 year difference Twilight Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson 4 year difference and others), while ones double, quadruple or ten times in length are left off? Are Harold and Maude really a couple? I would question Joe and Norma as a real couple too? If the difference isn't at least two decades, I wouldn't even include it. This suggestion needs to be better researched and documented. Edge of Tomorrow Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise: 20 Years difference??? Seeking a Friend For the End of the World,Keira Knightley and Steve Carell: 22 Years differenceDonovan's Reef John Wayne and Elizabeth Allen 22 Years difference The Rum Diary Johnny Depp and Amber Heard: 23 Years differenceSix Days Seven Nights Harrison Ford and Anne Heche : 26 Years difference differenceMagic in the Moonlight Colin Firth and Emma Stone: 28 Years difference Carlito's Way Al Pacino and Penelope Ann Miller: 29 Years differenceEntrapment Sean ConneryCatherine Zeta-Jones: 39 Years differenceplus many more two decade, three decade and longer difference couples.

Any of the options suggested by urbanemovies feets this poll much more than all the fantasy world remedies:The Lord of the Rings (2001)Twilight (2008)The Age of Adaline (2015)Benjamin Button (2008)

I retract my "Are Harold and Maude really a couple?" comment. Harold and Maude should be included in the poll answer options.

The poll is about the age difference of the characters not the real life age differences of the actors.

I wonder how Lolita could be forgotten here?It is even more classic when comparing to Harold and Maude, the best matching this poll for now.

Hi, MAthePA. I recommend that relationships involving minors be omitted from this list.

Hi, Jeorj Euler. Thanks but your suggestion should be addressed to Paok-Kilkis, since it's him who included The Reader and Harold and Maude in the initial poll. My suggestions are based on them being in the frame. If you asked me is it correct to include the named movies in polls at all, I'd have the further question: "Why not?"

Harold is not a minor. I'm not sure about Michael.

Well, now I understand you mean "person under legal age of maturity" (minor). Yes, Harold is not minor when the relationship developed in the movie. Michael, as well as Stig (below suggested in All Things Fair) are schoolboys. It is hard to understand their "legal age of maturity" since we don't know the frames of laws set in the movies. Should they be at least 16 for legal maturity?Dominique Swain was 16-17 years old when starring as Lolita. If we consider her character's age, it was 14 according to Nabokov. So, she is under "legal age of maturity". But if you mean that "Lolita" describes pedophilia, no.

I had in mind the age of majority.

"Age of majority" may vary for different epochs and countries: 16, 18, 21... Which one is set in each movie? We may be sure only for one same reason: Lolita, Michael, Stig are, and Harold seems also to be under 21. P-K may be suggested to exclude them to avoid misunderstandings. But if P-K is going to show "tо love all ages yield surrender", I see nothing to stop their inclusion. Again, if your hesitation is about pedophilia, that one is closer and included in this list.

I've not previously made a reference to pedophilia, hebephilia or ephebophilia, but the all are delicate subject areas even if the latter is not as problematic as the former. When I think of Lolita, I usually think of the interpretation of the source material.

I've got your idea.Paok-Kilkis, please do not take seriously two of my suggestions: Lolita and All Things Fair. Thank you for understanding.

In fact, the age difference in love affairs is much more popular theme in film production than we could think. A few examples:Chéri (2009) - 23 years for Michelle Pfeiffer vs Rupert Friend in real life;La pianiste (2001) - 21 years in real life; All Things Fair (1995) - 20 years in real life; The Duchess (2008) - 23 years for Ralph Fiennes vs Keira Knightley in real life; The Zero Theorem (2013) - 25 years in real life;where Alicia Vikander involved:Till det som är vackert (2010) - 31 years in real lifeEn kongelig affære (2012) - 23 years in real lifeTulip Fever (2017) - 32 years in real life...

It's kind'o bad to put Dae-su Oh and Mi-do on the list, because they aren't really a couple but accidential have a incestuos relationship. They were forced to that forced by the villains false game. They were hypnotized and kept separated and later being re-united many years later by the villain, not knowing each other. Who would vote for that? They are victims, not really a couple.
