FYC, you might want to take a closer look at Million Dollar Baby, as Clint Eastwood was nominated for Best Actor at a couple award ceremonies including the Oscars. Hilary Swank's character is the number one character, but I think Clint Eastwood's is a close second, enough for them to be called co-leads, IMHO.

The film follows "Maggie" Fitzgerald (Swank), an underdog amateur boxer,  who is helped by "Frankie" Dunn (Eastwood), an underappreciated boxing trainer to achieve her dream of becoming a professional.

Maybe Latika in Slumdog Millionaire and Aragorn in Return of the King are co-leads too?

There's no story without Latika in Slumdog, and Aragorn is, after all, the king of the title and his mission in the film is also very important.

@Aris_Athanas

Just a thought, I get that there likely wasn't a shared scene with both Aragorn and Frodo, but that doesn't mean you can't find an image that has both of them in it. I would think that would be preferable to listing two leads and having an image with only one of them in it.

@urbanemovies

Personally, I think it would have been better to split Aragorn/Frodo as well as the other options where you coupled to characters.

@cinephile It wasn't an option. He needed to follow the same ten option format as the previous decade polls he has done already. But, I get where you are going. It creates a different voting dynamic if these characters were stand-alone options.

It not only creates a different voting dynamic. As the poll stands currently, it makes it kind of irrelevant because of these options.
