Catherine Tramell - she plotted his downfall and murder and succeeded.
I have not seen “The Game”. In “The War Of The Roses”, his death resulted from his obsession with his wife and his refusal to see it was over and walk away. But of the rest, he had survived.
The game was really mean. The question who damaged him the most is unsolveable. I guess it was the one in "The Game".
Spoiler:
He lost all and then thought he killed his brother. A far fall from beeing a successful investor at the stock exchange. She helped to made him believe that. That's bad. The other one was the female stalker, played by Glenn Close. Also very bad.
Try up grading this. He may be now playing smaller roles , he is still getting hurt by women like Ava in “Ant-Man and the Wasp”. Or try in including men too. Especially in the films he was the villain. He did play and exceptional villain in many of his films and was taken down hard in “Wall Street” by the character Bud Fox.
I don't think "he" was really damaged in Ant-Man and the Wasp. That comment is far from the issue. It's about women roles and his roles in movies circling about his relation to women who harmed "him" ... or about the women relation to "him" ... to harm "him". Not about men who harm "him". (Wallstreet)
okey, why does that have the private mark on it. We are talking about movie plots and characters. Not about actually committing the crimes. If you guys want to get picky on that - which I may remind you that violence is a major action in a lot of movies today - then this whole poll should have the “Private” marker on it. Is it on here? No!

Maybe the title should be named "... Michael Douglas' Characters ..."?
... Because the movies flushed a lot of Money to Douglas, but destroyed the characters he played. ;)
