Well, this is maybe awkward for me, seeing as how I only really like a small few of the movies by Martin Scorsese, and actually dislike some of them despite them all being high quality. A vast majority of his protagonists are insufferable scumbags, but I've not seen all of his work, so I couldn't be sure. On the other hand, I'm not too enthusiastic about the way that Marvel Studios' products are mostly merely re-skins of roughly the same story. I can see how a lot of these movie adaptations of fantasy comic book characters are oriented mostly around fan service, and at some point, it can get boring, despite the great visual effects.
Taxi Driver seems to be the best of Scorsese, and Logan seems to be the best of Marvel. They're both quite grim, which is right up my alley. I think, maybe the former has far fewer plot contrivances or other absurdities. In the latter, one of the scenes involving Charles Xavier's mutant abilities was just plain inconsistent with the known scope of those abilities, i.e. he doesn't have telekinesis, so if he telepathically freezes somebody who is off balance, then there is nothing to stop that person from falling over. While that isn't a contrivance, it is seemingly a logical/epistemological error even by science fantasy standards.

Scorsese's movies are higher quality, but I'd say the Marvel movies are better for entertainment

I made a very similar poll there (a bit different though): https://www.imdb.com/poll/VwQ7tQ1zNj4/
