LIVE POLL: Which Dracula Movie or Miniseries Sucks the Most?

Which select* movie or miniseries about Dracula or one with a Dracula-related theme do you think sucks the most, or alternatively, do you think has the worst premise?

* Answer options are IMDb rated 1.0 < 4.9, have 500+ IMDb votes, have a 45 min. < 360 min. total running time and have AI plot recaps (as of 26 May 2026).

Guinness World Records has certified Count Dracula as the literary character with the most film adaptations worldwide. The claim is based on 538+ productions (cinema films and TV movies) that made use of Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire in some way (as of 2015). While this record-breaking pace has brought more exceptional adaptations to the screen, it has at the same time brought more horrible adaptations to those same screens.

Looks like you are not including the "Sparkly Vampires in Heat" series?  (a.k.a. Twilight)

@TheOldJalapenoman,

The Twilight franchise movies rate in the low to mid 5s by IMDb with the lone exception of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' @ 4.8. So, the five Twilight franchise film could be best descriped as average film offerings at worst by their IMDb ratings by users.

Plus, the poll suggestion is specifically about Count Dracula, not vampires in general. (Which Dracula Movie or Miniseries Sucks the Most?) I find the stories and premises of really bad Count Dracula media titles, are well-represented in various forms and various degrees of badness, ranging from 1 to 4 ratings in the existing answer pool.

Personally, I get that Twilight is not everyone's cup of tea, but I don't think the books are badly written or the films are poorly made. If you are not the intended audience of a young adult fiction reader or moviegoer, or someone who favorite genre is vampiric-fantasy romance, I am not sure why you expect that you would like the series. Still, I get the film series success has made it a big target.

Regardless, it is undeniable that series has appeal to some with 160+ million books sold in 50 different languages, some 250 weeks on the NYT Children's Book Series best seller list and numerous youth book awards. Its five film adaptations have grossed in box office $3.346 billion (5 films) on a budget of $401 million (5 films), making roughly ten times their budgeted investment.

At the very least, I credit the Twilight series for opening the doors to a revival in Count Dracula projects with no fewer than eight great Dracula films being made in the past half-decade alone with a bevy of star actors and very creative filmmakers behind them. The profits from the Twilight series were the driving force in these projects being green lit in the first place and the filmmakers having both the resources and the creative feedom to make them right and for an audience not catered to by the Twilight film series.
