Live Poll: TimeOut's Youth Gone Wild!
TimeOut magazine published a list of the 50 greatest films about wayward children. Their intro: Even the most helicoptering Park Slope parent will admit that some children, adorable though they are, must simply be born bad. Not their children, of course. But these other barbaric youngsters—rebellious, foul-mouthed, sometimes just pure evil—always make it to movie screens, from James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause to the NYC hellspawn of Kids(and all manner of demonically possessed tykes in between). Time Out New York has collected the most shocking of these movies about youth and rebellion and ranked them in a countdown of atrocious behavior. Our only parameter: They must be teens and younger, not twentysomethings. The top 35 highest-rated (on IMDb) of these films are listed below. Which best captures the spirit of youth rebellion? List: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls064234867

Dead End and The Bad Seed. The kids from Village of the Damned and the sequel Children of the Damned would get the nod for me.
I found the list interesting and was curious what the other movies were left off due to the 35 limit for poll options. May I suggest putting a hyperlink embedded in your introduction. TimeOut's 50 Best Youth Gone Wild Films

as far as 'youth rebellion' goes, i kinda dismissed 'the omen' and 'the exorcist' simply because it's the devil doing the deeds...'the bad seed' may even fall somewhat into this category as well, being that the acts of the child are seemingly perpetuated rather than voluntarily intended...ironically, on the other end of the age spectrum, i also dismissed 'a clockwork orange' simply because i never really saw them as 'youth' (although perhaps that's one of the aspects that makes them so dangerous)...
for me, youthful rebellion makes me think of movies like 'dead end' and 'blackboard jungle'...
i love both of those films and think they deserve dual honors, but...if i had to pick one, i'd go with 'blackboard jungle'...
again...great poll...
