Live Poll: The Horror of Atomic Bombs

Oppenheimer tells the story of this scientist and his role in the development of the atomic bomb, one of the most destructive weapons created by humanity.

The film delves in the horror of this weaponry but the nightmare of self destruction that they represent for humanity have been explored in several other movies, in genres as diverse as drama, comedy, horror or action.

Which of these other films about atomic bombs or their consequences do you want to watch?

I like Strangelove and I'd like to discover Fail Safe.

@Pencho15 ,

I remember seeing Fail Safe (1964) and Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) on a double bill sponsored by the University of Minnesota Film Society in 1973 or 1974.

@dan_dassow Thanks.

Here's hoping these horros never come true again. And that all the talent and will that was once used to create this weapons of destruction is used again to solve menaces like the Climate Emergency and the urgent elimination fossil fuels.
