Live Poll: The Art of Action

Modern action cinema is often accused of being inferior to the classics of the 1980s and 90s. This comparison may or may not be valid, and we can find counterexamples for each side. However, the genre certainly suffers from some alarming trends, and many movies would benefit from observing its virtues once again.

Which question should filmmakers consider more when making action movies?

(The images represent recent movies where the directors suceeded in taking care of the discussed aspect)

alb, it's so good to see you around again! : )

My top choice is #1: Is the action part of the story?

@rubyfruit76

Thank you ruby :)

I think this is my first poll since the move to sprinklr. I changed the title to "Live Poll" and added the link to the poll, is it good that way?

I have changed the post type to Praise, which you can also do yourself next time. This is to allow easier searching.

"Action-packed" is one of the most common pieces of praise for movies, but they can easily be overstuffed.

The Action should build up and be germane to the plot development. (Option 1).

Is the physics implemented right along with visual effects?

@MuviFan73

Not a bad suggestion at all.

Perhaps @albstein will consider adding it & asking for a re-push.

Thank you for the suggestion. Does the following statement match what you intended?
"Could it happen in the real world?" - If the laws of physics are broken too much, the action becomes unbelievable.
