Jane Campion was probably the most deserving. But I was also happy for Billie Eilish who seemed sincerely surprised and happy and for Troy Kotsur. While CODA was the second least deserving film from my point of view and a big mistake for a Best Picture winner, Kotsur speech and award was one of the highlights of the night.
