Viggo Mortensen - it must be his turn!

I am a huge fan of Viggo Mortensen (mostly for Lord of the Rings) and I would like to see him win, but unfortunately it will be a rival between Bale and Cooper. Let's hope in a surprise.

maybe I'm wrong but there's no way I see Cooper winning, especially with how the Academy refused him the director nod

it's between Bale and Malek imo

Well....since Rami Malek won the SAG, I think you are right it's between Bale and Malek

Malek all the way

I'd be fine with Viggo and Dafoe too though.

I saw his movie yesterday. Bale has quite good but I think he is not Oscar worthy in comparison with the others. My mind says Mr. Robot but my heart says Aragorn!

Rami Malek won the SAG yesterday, so it's looking like he's the frontrunner.

Mortenson or Dafoe deserve it because everything they do is exquisite and they've been snubbed in the past, not to mention their performances here were excellent. I did think Malek was very good, however; so good that he salvaged a pretty bad movie. All five were quite good.

Yeah, it's a very strong line-up. All five performances are terrific.

It will be between Bale and Rami without a doubt. I watched Green Book yesterday and I really liked Viggo. Don't think they hand it to him though. And how is Ali in supporting? There would be no journey without him, no racial references and no movie. He is clearly lead. Anyway, back to the question at hand. I will very much cheer for Malek. I think he is in the lead now, but with liberal Hollywood, you may never know. Bale's take on evil Dick may be right up their alley. I hope not though. He shall be Vice to when it comes to the number of votes.
