1969 was, surely, a great year in cinema. Quite hard to choose just one. 

Plus, I'm a bit biased: my grandfather on my mother's side is seen as an extra in Brilliantovaya ruka (1969). I really should make him an IMDb page this year.

The "Tanu" = witness is such an epic movie that describes with wired and black humor all the terror committed by the socialist party in Hungary. The fame of the movie increased because it was immediately banned at that time (no one knows how was it even allowed to shoot this movie back then). It was first release after the Soviet occupation ended in 1990. 
This movie makes dark jokes about the era, that carries in the same time the sadness and the laughter of the whole Hungarian nation.

One of the most famous part is when the witness tries to learn his part for the "trial" the teacher gives him the "sentence" what the judge should learn before the "trial". Yeah. That is a true story, a joke and the representation of a terrible historical area when eating your own food was a sin.

It will be always a cult movie in Hungary. But the rest of the world won't get it. It's full of jokes that only those can understand who know the history of that era. And since history repeats itself it might be banned again ....

Butch Cassidy it's the most adventurous movie i've ever seen.
Maud is the most intellectually attractive woman i've met on the screen.
Cactus Flower was the first theatrical act that we saw back than with my wife when we started dating.
We quote  Take the Money and Run  in a daily basis in the workplace.
Easy rider defined a lifestyle.

1969 was a good year in movies.
