Live Poll: Most Awesome Visually Portrayed Space Movie

Intro:

This is a poll only about visuality of highly rated space movies. Sometimes there are space movies that contain an outstanding visual depiction when it comes to visualize planets, moons, suns, space itself, etc. and space facillities like space ships, space stations, vehicles, planet- or moonbases. Please take ~50% design of the space facilities and ~50% space objects visualization into your consideration of the overall impression. So which of these 7/10+ rated space movies do you think is visually best depicted? Discuss here.

Rules:

No animated movie, no superhero movie, no supervillain movie, no documentation, no series. No movies, which are predominant comedies.
Has to contain space scenes or scenes on other planets. At least a rating of 7/10+

Changed the question line a little.
Please notice:
It's not about any living creature like the heroes or the aliens. But in some cases is was inevitable to have humans in the image, because there were no good images with only space, space facillities,  etc.
But the living part should definitely not be dominant in the image.

I've cut out the part with the 50/50%. It's too irritating.

2001: A Space Odyssey. I've never seen 'Interstellar' but I've wanted to for a while and that photo just confirms that. I just started several visual polls myself so we must have been on the same wavelength, lol.

By the way, 'great images and a well written intro. :)

What are your next visual polls?

I just had a break the last 2-3 days. The renovation continues, but at this point, I have nothing to manage or something like this. So we went to cinema yesterday and saw 'Ad Astra' which is a slow told voyage through space and character developement. I was stunned about that movie, not only because of the things I saw, it was a good storyflow, very good cutting, stunning  images and some single action secenes that were well dosed. There are a few blood dropping scenes in it, but the shown brutality is not outraging graphic. Some face mutilation. I saw movies that were more brutal, e.g. war movies like 'Saving Private Ryan'. I really like this movie and I would wonder if there weren't any academy nominations for it.

P.S.: Thank you ruby, but I got help from Ed. He found better formulations.
As I wrote, I wasn't happy with my own intro. A lack of vocabulary. ;D

I'd say any of the old Star Wars movies, because they focused just the right amount on the scenery, but had plenty of the human characters.  They are what holds the movie up.  I don't care how much cool CGI you have, if the characters are awful, I can't enjoy it.

Thank you. I like it too.
Special thank you for the suggestions. The most often problem is, that suggested images are suggested as 16:9, 21:9, 24:9 or 4:3 format. But when they are on the list, they're cut to aproxim. 1:1. Left and right image parts are cut and the image isn't the same as before. The effect fades strongly. I looked at all the images at moon. The bitter truth is, that there are less photos left that strongly describe the environment of the characters. It's the same problem like in 'Passengers'. This movie is strongly centered on the characters, so people who put photos to the database mostly do character images to the database. But both movies also have visual potential so there could be images. I take the best compromise. I'll consider your suggestions a little later. Thank you for the patience. :)

Hi Joe. I've put your suggestions on the list, so you can look at them. Tomorrow or after your check, I will put them of the list.

option #29: The buggy is only half shown the sun on the other side is cut away.
option #30: The Buggy is shown 3/4, some legs protrude into the image.
option #31: The shuttle flies away. That's not really stunning. Many movies have a very similar scene.

option #32: The only image, which shows the lead's life-situation inside, so the audience can remember about the movie and the environment.

'Moon' had a few more situations with better visuality, but that might be the picture I would preferable consider. Please get me right. Your suggestions were from stunning moments, i know. I saw the movie. It's just because the format limitation.

It looks great man, I liked this movie a lot and I hardly saw the name of your survey I thought about it, although it is not very innovative in terms of space scenarios, you have to take into account that I only had a budget of 5 million and it was a good debut for Duncan Jones, son of David Bowie the "Starman". By the way Breu the image of position #32 is repeated in position #10.

Joe,
I think it is a theme in space of 'Moon' that wasn't there before, so how can it not be innovative? It brought up a new angle about mankind and it's greed for profit and it's will to survive. The clone thing was a big deal as the movie came out. It's one of my favorite, beside my alltime favs 'Alien', 'Aliens', 'Interstellar', the first 'Star Wars' trilogy, Enterprise movies and '2001'. In distance of ~2-3 years, I put it into the player and watch it again. It' s sure not allways the money that makes a movie big. I like the fact when a movie I do like get's the audience, it deserves - wich best counts in money, but I know it doesn't work backwards. A movie earning big tons of money doesn't automatically mean, it's excellent. It's allways a big deal, when a director with it's cast and crew does an excellent movie. 'Moon' got an 8/10 from me. :D

P.S.: I know about #32 and #10, I've put it there intentionally for better comparing, but I will errase them now. I realized, you are a maker of 'Moon'. So maybe you can put in an image, which is better for the square format? That's a chance for putting the best visual work for square format on the list. I would take it instantly on the list. :D

From me Moon took a 9/10, I ended up fascinated with it especially because in recent years science fiction movies seem to forget the roots of this genre, these days most science fiction movies are about ridiculous stories with an exorbitantly large budget dedicated entirely to special effects but not a good story, while Moon is on the other side of the spectrum; It is a good science fiction film that respects the laws of the genre, which provokes thought and stays balanced with beautiful scenes of space.

By the way, Moon is so influenced by science fiction movies and one of his most notable influences is '2001' This scene reminds me a lot of Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/me...

Other amazing images

In fact I think these images tell more about Sam's environment

And here the moon being experienced by mankind:

The word "Scenes" in the titles may make it sound like you are asking about specific scenes and not the whole film.

I'm not sure what is best, but you could also use the word "Visuals" (as a noun):

That's even better, Peter. I changed the titel.
