Honorable Mention: Abigail Adams, USA First Lady

She was the closest advisor and wife of President John Adams, as well as the mother of President John Quincy Adams. Their letters are filled with intellectual discussions on government and politics, although self-educated she was his intellectual equal and in some ways superior. She is sometimes considered to have been a Founder of the United States. She was so politically active, her political opponents came to refer to her as "Mrs. President".

Biopic: John Adams * mini-series seems to be about the first couple, rather than just John Adams himself
