What about Batman: The Killing Joke (2016) ?

Why is there a need for two poll suggestions? This seems to be a recurring issue with your posts. Please, check to to see if there is a per-existing post before making a poll suggestion. A simple search for "Joker Movie" would have avoided the duplication of effort.This is a prior made suggestion from several months ago and covers the same scope basically. PS: Joker Movie That Is No Laughing Matter Both poll suggestions require the featuring of the Joker and other than the Favorite or Best question, which is interchangeable in most poll taker's minds cover exactly the same territory.

Which of these movies is the most serious contender for the best Joker movie*, so far? *theatrical, television, streaming and direct-to-video movies in which the Joker is a primary antagonist

I quite like all of them, although I gravitate more towards Batman (1989) and Suicide Squad (2016) then The Dark Knight (2008) or Batman: The Movie (1966). And man am I excited for Joker (2019) after that trailer dropped recently. It had just the right amount of nods, originality, noir and relatable to hit right in the gut and make you want more. 

More of a fun fact then actual FYC, but Joker was technically in two movies in 1989: The Return of Swamp Thing (1989) has an awesome title sequence which uses panels and art from actual Swamp Thing comics and one particular arts depicts Joker and Thing's enemy Floronic Man in Arkham Asylum. :)

There's a lot of hype surrounding Joker and Phoenix, but The Dark Knight and Ledger's performance are still the towering achievements in comic book movies.
